George Nakas and Fraser Ross secure third place in LMP3 Pro/Am after a thrilling race at the iconic Silverstone Circuit.

GG Classics has celebrated another outstanding result on the international motorsport stage, with George Nakas and Fraser Ross securing an impressive third-place finish in the LMP3 Pro/Am category at the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup at Silverstone, United Kingdom.

Held on 12 September 2026, the fifth round of the championship delivered an action-packed two-hour endurance race, with changing weather conditions, strategic decisions and intense on-track battles testing teams and drivers throughout the field.

Behind the wheel of the #58 GG Classics Ligier JS P325, Nakas and Ross demonstrated determination, consistency and competitive pace to earn a well-deserved place on the podium.

A Strong Weekend at Silverstone

Competing at one of the world’s most historic motorsport venues, GG Classics arrived at Silverstone ready to take on a highly competitive international field.

The team made steady progress throughout the practice sessions, improving from 11th in the opening session to eighth in the second session before qualifying ninth overall.

With the grid set, attention turned to the two-hour endurance race, where both drivers would need to combine speed, precision and strategic race management to secure a strong result.

A Dramatic Race and a Late Podium Charge

The Silverstone race proved to be a true test of endurance racing, with unpredictable weather adding another layer of complexity to the competition.

As rain arrived and track conditions changed, teams faced difficult decisions regarding tyre selection and race strategy. Safety Car interruptions further intensified the battle, setting up a dramatic final stage of the race.

In the closing minutes, Fraser Ross delivered a decisive move, overtaking the #98 Motorsport98 Ligier to secure third place in the LMP3 Pro/Am category.

After completing 50 laps of the famous Silverstone circuit, the #58 GG Classics Ligier crossed the finish line to claim a fantastic podium result for the Australian team.

The result was a testament to the efforts of both drivers and the entire GG Classics racing operation.

Another Podium for GG Classics in 2026

The Silverstone result marks another significant achievement for GG Classics in the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup season.

Following a third-place finish at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans earlier in the year, the team has now secured two LMP3 Pro/Am podium finishes in one of Europe’s most competitive endurance racing championships.

For GG Classics, these achievements represent more than race results. They reflect our passion for motorsport, our commitment to competing at an international level and our dedication to continually pushing the boundaries of performance.

From our roots in Australia’s classic and collector car industry to competing on some of the world’s most celebrated racing circuits, motorsport remains an integral part of the GG Classics story.
